Well the clutch was just the stock Valeo setup if I am not mistaken. It has been over a year since I bought it, but just got it put in a few months ago and like I said, the guy butchered the job. Yes, I bought the entire kit and gave it to the guy who was to install it. Of course, as crappy of a mechanic as this guy turned out to be, who knows if it all actually made it in or not. Rattling tranny, need some advice
I have recently had my clutch assembly replaced and the first guy who did it for me just butchered the job. Car bucks and stalls at 1-3k rpm, any ideas?
Thanks for all the replies:) I installed the NGK V-power (FR26 if I'm not mistaken, copper) plugs @.045, 15 lb-ft of tourgue I believe. No check engine light, btw. The plug wires were soaked pretty good and for no telling how long, so I am betting on the wires too. I know the NGK plugs...- Tdent

Car bucks and stalls at 1-3k rpm, any ideas?
Well my car gives me the most trouble when I am in say 5th gear at 70mph on the interstate and I give it about 1/2 - 3/4 throttle. The engine stalls and hesitates pretty bad up until about 3k then picks up and smooths out real nice. Anywhere from 1-3k in the higher gears it gives me this...- Tdent

Thanks for the reply :) So what do you think that fluid could be from if it isn't coming from the cv-shaft? I am pretty positive that it is though. Hmm, I wonder if that mechanic might have put gear oil in my gear box. That would not be cool, although it still seems to shift really well. I...- Tdent
