New Paint Job
Politics Aside, I am gearing up to repaint my black SHO and have decided on Acrylic Enamel. I don't think the factory used Laquer in '90. Laquer is real soft, enamel is far superior. O2 sensor - Gas mileage improvement?
I'm also thinkinging about replacing my O2 sensors when I install the off-road equal length 2.25" Y pipe on its way from the SHO Shop. I'm not going to do it yet just to save $. lower intake cleaning
Congrats on the impending maintenace! My intake cleaning is goin down this evening and hopefully finish up tomorrow morning. I bought a perfect babybottle brush yesterday @ Wal-Mart for $2. Tech Tip of the Day
I keep a set of chemically treated (diaper wipe style) cleaning towlettes in my car at all times: Simple Green for cleaning the engine (pop hood to humble friends with car payments and give a quick swipe). If its tie rod squeaking and the steering wheel has play you've passed the point of about to go bad. i just spent 2200.00 on maintence was it worth it
I am witholding a lot of my ranting and opinions by just saying this: A used SHO is a poor choice for someone who cannot perform maintenance OR does not have a cheap(12-pack of Keytsone) helper to do all the work described in this thread. Gunk in intake runners
I would not run a simple crankcase breather filter like shown in above posts. The factory PCV system creates a negative pressure in the crankcase that promotes ring seal. replace roof- how hard?
There was a yellow Taurus SLO around Spokane WA which had the roof cut off to be "convertible" I bet it was crap in the corners, but the guy drove it like he had struck gold :)- Don likes SHO

looking for sunroof panel
Mine was broken too, I used epoxy to re-attach and reinforce the attachment points where the metal meets plastic. That was many months ago, it is still up there real tight :) Very easy and inexpensive!- Don likes SHO
