Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

I never said an electric vacuum pump would help ring seal,NEVER. Maybe you should reread my posts. Don't know what your sig says but if you are a electrical Engineer for Ford, you'd know electric vacuum pumps aren't made to work continuously and they aren't made to have oil introduced into...

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

Read this.... http://www.dragstuff.com/techarticles/vacuum-pumps.html I run a GZ vacuum pump on my LS....it's mechanical.

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

Waste your $$$,I could care less...... I'm as chill as can be,trust me. You are saying you are going to use an electric vacuum for xxxx reasons and I'm telling you if you want that,YOU HAVE TO RUN A MECHANICAL PUMP. You can't run an electric vacuum pump continuous on somthing you drive with...

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

You guys must have never heard the saying Keep It Simple,Stupid!! KISS Btw,Granny Tripod copied the vacuum setup I've been running for 10+ years TO STOP OIL LEAKS. When you kids own a real high performance car, maybe you'll get it..... Recap: Belt driven vacuum pump with regulators on the...

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

Big difference between a racing vacuum pump and the electric bs u are talking about. How do I know?? I've only run vacuum pumps on my Grand National and my stroker LS for years. An electric vacuum pump or crankcase vacuum won't help ring seal and I'm sure if you'd just contact the...

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

Nothing,it's just like any other engine, period. I don't know what idiot is spreading rumors, you'd have to speak with Deep Power and ask him where he's getting his bad info from. My bet is the local counter guy at Autozone or Advance.

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

Yea,I read your post, its just incredibly WRONG. Performance cars that don't need to pass emissions don't run things like you are planning to gain ring seal or anything else, THEY DO IT BECAUSE OF EMISSIONS. Some folks just can't see the forest because of all the trees.....sad.

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

And where did you see that in the book? Because I sure as hell didn't..... I do see where it mentions emissions but zero about performance.

Gen 1 Oil Catch Can - Where?

http://www.alfitz.com/SHO_Engine_Book.pdf You need to look and see where this stuff vents and what it does. The vent line under the TB is a crank case vent and the factory valve cover to intake manifold is supposed to be injecting air. No o2 codes.....excellent driveabilty with a larger maf...

4-Nozzle Fuel Injectors for Gen 1?

You have to have the ECM tuned the same as any injector. I'm currently running them and a 80mm maf without issue with the proper tune via a SCT chip..... Only reason I ended up changing them out was I had a dead/clogged stocker and had them laying around. You will have to drill your rails...

Using 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 LS truck idlers on a 3.2 SHO

The top idler on 3.2's can be replaced with a 99-13 GM truck 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 idler pulley. It's around $30 and it's a whole new assembly. A lot of LS engines regularly see 7000rpm so I don't think RPM will kill it but we'll see. I think the tensioner idler from the same trucks will work on the...

Anyone know what the leanest cylinder is??

And as far as saying it's caused by the fuel system..... I'm willing to bet only when you are doing high speed pulls does it become an issue. 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile drag racing,I'd have a hard time doubting a 300hp engine would/could suck fuel rails dry in short sprints. SHO ME SOMTHING!lol

Anyone know what the leanest cylinder is??

On rant..... We'll surely if you are saying it won't work or isn't needed you have experience with it?? Oh,you don't? Well then what makes u so sure it's not needed? None of you even know what's it's for for gods sake. Some folks wonder what happened to our great country but I don't... We are...

    O2 sensor wiring 89sho

You should be able to look it up in the Help! brand manual at Autozone or Advance. Not sure if either would carry it but I'm sure they can get it. I'm sure the Ford dealer could too. Take your o2 sensor with you and tell them you need the plug that plugs it in so there's no mistake. If u went...

    O2 sensor wiring 89sho

I'd get a new connector for the end of it and fix it right. You could hard wire them together and it most likely wouldn't be a problem but that's pure hackery and not reccomended, esp as easy as it is to put a new connector on it. If you take your time on disassembly,I'm sure you could save the...

Anyone know what the leanest cylinder is??

I just saw the 1 listed on his site....the high flow one. -8 from tank to filter to 8-10" long surge tank that has -6 to feed the rails halfway down the length of it and at the end of the surge tank it has the fuel pressure reg,the return line goes from the fuel pressure reg back to the tank...
