    Yup, you have to use a regular Taurus subframe (some prefer the early duratec ones) vs a V8 SHO subframe due to the rear engine mount location.

    I've done this and luckily the way it landed I was able to get it out with a flexible magnet straight down the oil return hole. Worth a shot.

    Lucky to make it out of that one. Parts are hard to find, one thing that's unobtainium for a V8 right now is the front valve cover gasket, unless someone wants to sell one they've stashed away. I don't think most are doing basic updates, just trying to keep them on the road at this point.

    My 91 harness. For some reason the MAF section appears to have been cut and spliced but otherwise seems complete. Car was running when it was removed.

    Also, the marks on the belt will only line up with the writing on the belt being upside down, if you're looking at it from the front (passenger side) of the engine. There's also a 3.0 and a 3.2 crank line on the belt, which may not be labeled.

    Perhaps the bushings he was referring to were the ones that center the rod that the throw out bearing fork is bolted to, inside the bellhousing.

    They're not supposed to be cracked like that but most of them are. It's not really a source of play that I've seen but I suppose it could happen. Most issues are in that clevis; if that one is yours then it is on its way to needing to be rebuilt, a good chunk of the washer/bushing is missing

    It's a fog light bracket, sans fog light. I'm guessing the inner bumper is broken if the bolts are still in it.

    Sounds a little too loud to be spark arcing, but are all the spark plug wires firmly on the plugs? Pull the oil filter and cut it open and see if there's metal in it.
