    ok i think i've figured out the problem, i removed the IAC valve and hooked up the sensor connection to power and it started to short out and the part would start to act up on its own. NiNeTy Fo SHO, you had it about right. i ordered the part and hopefully that will solve the idleing problem...

    i tried the card cleaner on the IAC valve, took it off cleaned it very carefully and got rid of alot of gunk. i put it back together and started to run worse, i knew that cleaner would have to burn off but after a few minutes of driving the car around in the parking lot and running the engine...

    hey i have the exact same problem with my 93 sho, it sometimes kills when idleing or when decelerating. It does only seem to be about 30% of the time i make a complete stop.
