Can everybody please go watch the episode of hi low on donut media about brakes. I didn't start this thread with braking distance in mind. The main advantage is weight and heat management. That's why Jordan's stopping distance vs lees stopping distance on a single run doesn't seem very relevant...

Its my mistake for calling them explorer brakes for clarity sake. The 2013+ sho brakes are the same as explorer HD brakes. Correct me if I'm wrong. I learned this info from this forum.

But I just thought about it and it doesn't make sense to talk about braking distance in hundredths of a second. You have to use distance. And tires are what make the most difference for a single stop. The point of me getting this upgrade is so I can roll hard in the desert all day with no brake...

Yes you've got it exactly right. If 2 products perform the same but are overpriced, that makes the cheaper product better. If his 0-60 is .05 better, what is his 1/4? *edit: I'm tripping. I thought you wrote 0-60 because I had weight on my mind.
