    THE SHIRTS ARE FINALLY HERE!

Looking for another t-shirt. Any idea where/how I can get one? My last one has finally worn out. I'm guessing though, that we're outta luck?

    Things you don't like...

First world problems, but I'll bite.... There are a ton of things that irk me about my SHO, especially after coming from a Lexus LS460 (2008): 1. Rear doors don't unlock when you touch the handle. How much more would it have cost to have that? 2. Steering wheel doesn't go down far enough 3. No...

    2018 Running Power Wire

I went down the firewall near brake reservoir, and then up through the E Brake cable boot and up through the sill. Very simple to do. Here's a video. Go to approx 5 min mark:

Remote start ultra long range antenna

I doubted this back in the day, but lo and behold, it worked. Even better,....open your mouth and point the FOB into your mouth. It amplies the signal even more! From Google: "Remote Car Key Suppose your remote car door opener does not have the range to reach your car across the parking lot...

    Offset Wheels and Tires

I've had my staggered setup for nearly a year and I LOVE it. It looks so good on a big car like this. Compliments and stares all the time. Ever since I had my 7 series BMW, I was hooked on the staggered stance. Then my Lexus LS460 got the same treatment and now my SHO. Speedometer change is...

Local Ford dealer quoted $296 to service the PTU

My dealership charged about what you were quoted....around 300. They drained, re-filled, drained, refilled etc. I think they did it 3 times according to the invoice.

    Somebody lying

I guess I'm lucky. My local Ford dealership fully embraces fluid changes in all components. They did my PTU and will later do my trans and RDU. When they did my PTU, they also discovered a leaking CAC and repaired it. I'm impressed with them so far (Chilliwack Ford).

What grade gas do you all use?

Not sure about the U.S., but here in Canada, Ford literature advertises the peak hp and torque with an asterisk and states that it comes only with 93 octane. When I fuel up in Washington state, the highest octane there is 92. When I fuel up in Canada, I use Chevron 94. The difference between the...

Looking to upgrade factory speakers, non Sony system

I just went through all this a month ago or so. Here's what I did/found: First off, the bass roll off is the biggest issue (and the associated processing from the OEM Sony system). Therefore, an aftermarket sub and an amp to power it, are a must. But more on that later. I replaced ALL my...

    Got one!

I wish the SHO had the body-colored lower cladding like that. The black just makes the car appear even higher off the ground than it should. Painting or vinyl-wrapping mine is in my future. Congrats!

    Brake pad recommendation

Back in the Lexus forums, most had great luck with Centric pads and rotors. I did too. Never tried EBC or Hawk, but I've heard good things depending on the level (EBC greenstuff, yellowstuff, redstuff etc).

    Wheel size for snow tires

Follow up to my first Winter in the SHO: As stated in my previous post above, I ran 245 45 20 Winter Tires on my factory rims. We had a good amount of snowfall this year, which is unusual. Yes, I'm in Canada, but contrary to common belief among Americans, not all parts of Canada get snow. Here...

    Help With Towing Damage

Many of the members here do a regular service on the PTU. I did mine at 6k miles or so and will continue to do it every 2 years or so. The tech that did mine agreed that this was good preventative maintenance.

    Help With Towing Damage

If it were me, I'd have the dealer do a PTU flush/fluid change and see what they find. Even if they say the fluid looked good or they didn't find any debris/shavings, etc, you'll at least have fresh fluid and one less maintenance item to do later on.

    SHO vs Stinger

Just because I'm Canadian, doesn't mean I give blind alliance to the crappy products anyone in Canada might build or manufacture. That's about as stupid as stupid gets. I buy what's quality because that's what I need if I want my paycheck to keep my head above water. Those who think that a Ford...

Time for a speaker upgrade - NOW WITH PICS

You're welcome. May as well update my experience. So far, I find the sub...lacking. As correctly pointed out by others, the Scosche sub, while a great value, just can't project enough sound through the well-insulated cabin. I could of course, lower the seat backs, or make a pass-thru in the...
