Its best to use a thin dual blade tool to pry it off at each pin.
I have good used pins and new receiving bushings if needed.
They are not the easiest things to remove, very tight.
The Mustang II's mostly were not popular.
I always liked them, especially the Cobras or the King Cobras.
This will be an excellent vehicle when finished.
Brian is correct as first ATX was 1993.
Anywho... I believe I have one.
But could you post a photo of yours?
Or at least the ends as I forget what they look like.
That is the same area that this one caught fire.
Could be a leaky rear cam cover gasket dripping oil onto the exhaust.
Or could have been electrical close to the computer.
Hopefully yours did not get this bad.
What part of TX are you in?
