    Is it safe?

Here are some pics of a parts car I had. The kid that owned it got drunk and rolled it on a gravel road. He walked away with minor injuries.

    Is it safe?

I remember someone here a long time ago got T-bone really hard and the car fared rather well.

    Is it safe?

I would look at the article that your mom showed you and see just how many of the teenagers were wearing seatbelts.

    Is it safe?

In my youth I have personally totalled a 1st gen Taurus and a 1st gen Sable. In the Taurus I hit a phone pole in icy weather and then a jacked up pickup rear ended me. I was unscathed as it was a medium speed accident (~25 MPH). The Sable was much more severe: I slid on a wet road into...

Sunroof assembly diagram and design info

The unit was made by Webasto. As far as I know the only other Ford product that used the same exact unit was the 88-94 Lincoln Continental.

    "Normal" steering rack

No, I already had a 3rd gen ZF rack in my car (as well as a 3rd gen subframe). The rack had some issues so I changed it (as well as all the tie rod ends). It fixed the clicking and notchiness but the play was still there. The only thing left that could cause the dead play in the steering was...

    "Normal" steering rack

Just a quick update for people that may find this in a search: I replaced the rack, it fixed the clicking feeling but did not fix the looseness. I then replaced the entire steering rack and the lower slip joint with a part from a 2004 Taurus. That fixed the slop in the steering and all is...

    moonroof dimensions needed!

If you have a factory installed moonroof an aftermarket kit will be very difficult to install. You would be much better off getting the correct oem parts. Used parts should not be hard to come by, there are plenty of people here parting out cars. Any Taurus or Sable from 86-95 will work as...

Rockauto now has 1st gen rear quarter glass

I'll post pics of it installed when it comes in. My left rear quarter window has been removed before so it just held in with the sticky butyl adhesive like a 2nd gen car.

Rockauto now has 1st gen rear quarter glass

I just noticed that Rockauto now stocks the rear quarter windows with black molding for 1st gen cars. I'm going to order one to see what it looks like.

Radiator differences between G2 SHO and SLO

The only difference is in the police package radiator. It has more cores and is thicker which makes for a very tight fit in the MTX cars.
