How to fill PTU fluid on 2019 PP: Cannot locate vent-hose!

Wow! Thanks for that detailed reply and taking the trouble to post the images! So if I'm interpreting your image correctly, the vent-hose connects at the "top" of the PTU (facing the sky), so is likely completely out of view if viewed from beneath the car?

How to fill PTU fluid on 2019 PP: Cannot locate vent-hose!

Thanks! Yeah, I looked and looked and looked—I simply couldn't spot it! I was looking for a hose going "nowhere" with the plastic vent-cap as you pictured. Can't see how I could miss a 1" vent-cap like that. I have the original window-sticker and it says "Performance Package" so I'm pretty sure...

How to fill PTU fluid on 2019 PP: Cannot locate vent-hose!

Problem: So I did a search here but the results weren't very helpful (only a non-PP PTU thread came up). I watched two YouTube videos where the mechanics attached a length of 5/16" hose to extend the factory PTU vent-hose in the engine-bay, to enable filling through the vent-port as an easier...

    SHO us your wheels

FREE 20" GLOSS-BLACK SHO WHEELS + TIRES! Not sure where to post this: I have a set of 2012 SHO 20" wheels in powder-coated gloss-black. I bought new rims and tires recently and don't need these anymore. There is some slight curb-rash on one wheel. These are FREE! Local pick-up in Los Angeles...

    Black Grille

That's the nicest looking grille I've seen! The off-center SHO logo is a perfect accent. Can you share where you got it? I have the Ford PI grille and I guess I just threw the original grille away. So apparently I need a factory grille for this mod? Also, the grille material looks like painted...

    Rotora's Finally In

4/lose. Rotora makes 6-cylinder front calipers and 4-cylinder rear calipers for the Taurus. Of course, Rotora will be happy to sell you just the front calipers. But yes, the rears require you to unhook and stow your factory emergency brake cable.

Cleaned the rims and dressed the tires! Custom center-cap decals on their way . . .

    Rotora's Finally In

First test drive! 1. Noticed loud scraping noise on front-right (doh! I put one pad in backwards!). 2. Noticed chatter on rear-right (double-doh! I forgot to torque one spacer!). 3. Bedded pads at a nearby street near LAX which is rarely driven and very wide. Pads bedded in nicely. No uneven...

    Rotora's Finally In

Sorry to over-complicate this! Let's start over. 1. Find a set of 1/2x20 5x4.5 spacers in your desired thickness with a bore of 63.4mm (your Taurus' factory wheel-hub diameter). 2. Measure the bore-diameter of your aftermarket-wheel using a micrometer. 3. Buy an aluminum hub-centric ring (no...

    Rotora's Finally In

You're welcome! Hold off on acting on any of the info—I need to double-check all the specs I listed. Note: You're likely better off finding a 63.4mm-bore spacer. The 5x4.5 63.4mm-bore spacer I found on Amazon was mislabeled and was actually 70mm+. If you're able to find a 63.4mm-bore spacer...

    Rotora's Finally In

Note: Everything below only applies if using 76.1mm-bore spacers! [63.4mm-bore is preferred, but I couldn't find any in 5x4.5.] Sure! Note that I used aluminum hub-centric adapter rings both between the factory hub and the 25mm spacer, and between the spacer and the aftermarket wheel. Opinions...

    Rotora's Finally In

Finally! Wheelhero sent the wrong-sized plastic hub-centric adapters, but I did use their supplied 25mm wheel-spacer, which they included at no extra charge (oddly, they sent 25mm spacers with a 70.6mm bore, not the 63.4mm bore which the Taurus has). I had to use aluminum hub-centric adapters...

Thanks! Custom Offsets: [NJ-based custom-offset wheel superstore] FYI: I found another online wheel dealer with an incredibly vast selection—I believe it's literally the largest wheel inventory in the world. Notably, they custom-drill each wheel per order, so custom offsets (plus many other...
