I think I actually found the answer. I sprayed steering shaft firewall gasket and the steering shaft rack gasket with WD40 and let it sit overnight. Been quiet ever since.
2015 SHO 113k mi. The car is making a loud squeaking whenever the wheels are turned. The squeak is dependent on how fast the wheels are turned, and it seems to be an equal sound turning left or right. I can lift the car and turn the wheels by hand and it will make the same noise. The sound is...
I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to say thank you for posting. Mine has fallen off as well and the linkage actually disconnected causing some issues. I did not want to play guess and check.
Found the issue! Thank you so much for your advice revolving around the wastegates. On the rear turbo, the wastegate linkage was disconnected. Now I just need to find out what size snap ring goes there.
I have practically exactly what you are describing. It sounds like the the BOV is rapidly opening and closing and the car's rpm's jump and the car surges a bit. I am trying to diagnose what is going on. The line that goes to the charge piping from the vacuum solenoid that popped off on you, is...
So there isn't any correlation between LED HID and failing ballasts, or any other significant reliability issue? I just really don't want to start experimenting with lighting and it cause other issues, when all along it was a known issue that using non OEM style would cause other components to fail.
I know this subject of HIDs has been beaten to death, so apologies if this was stated somewhere in an old post (I did search!) My main question is there any advantage of standard OEM HIDs (like Osram night-breakers) versus going with a quality LED HID? I know our ballasts are pretty fragile, so...
Last owner took really good care of it. Pretty much has every thing you can do to it besides a meth kit and upgraded turbos. (Tune, full EPP, PPE DP’s, full SW exhaust, etc.) He also was religious in the maintenance. So I’m one step ahead in making it last. Just got to carry on what he was doing.
I apologize, I thought I read a post where they did. I know that in 16+ that they are able to show the digital speedometer. Does this seem do-able with the above mentioned?
I think that now that I own this car, I will need to get all of that. Never needed to own it any of my other vehicles...
I honestly do not know much about any of this subject. Does that mean that, in theory, you could take a 2018 IPC that is able to show this, and use FORScan to tell it to display this information? Full disclosure, i have never used FORScan or know its capabilities.
I am looking to upgrade the gauge cluster in my 2015 but haven't had much success in finding good information on the options. I know that swapping clusters can be finnicky, besides the obvious necessity of having to reprogram the VIN and Odometer.
The features I am looking for in a new cluster...
