Replacing the Axels
Hi smcallis, If you still need the info, the axles will pop-out when you pry on them. No "special" tool needed, except your favorite does-it-all pry bar. Same way going back in, just needs a couple of gentle "luv taps" with a mallet if my memory serves me right. I did this about 6 years ago...- Jim B.

How long will a leaking water pump last
A leaking water pump means the shaft seals gone bad, shaft seals start going out you'll start getting "wobble" on the pump empeller, which could in-turn, worse case, start gouging/ scrapping into the engine. I've seen that on other vehicles, still have my original on my '89 SHO. Take Care, Jim B.- Jim B.

Thank Fellas for all your help, The plug wires, I just laid them back out of the way, never disco'd from coil. I re-checked them per your diagram and they're ok. I've got the wire set on order, though. I've checked and rechecked the hoses and connectors. I think maybe I'll pull that intake off...- Jim B.

You all with the flooded engines, how long did it need to crank before fireing? I've been cranking the heck out of it, foot to the floor, knees on the floor for praying for a start and she just won't go. I did the no-no thing to and poured a little fuel into the plug wells. HI Folks, I still can't get her fires up. Now I'm wondering about proper fuel pressure. When I turn the key I hear the fuel pump spin up just fine. I cycle the key several times to make sure theres pressure at the engine.The only way I get any combustion is to spray wd40 in the inlet. How much...- Jim B.

I really appreciate all the quick responses, I didn't pull the DIS off when I removed the intake. I was supposed to? The DIS is the grey rectangular unit monted to the intake on the passenger side isn't it. I didn't dis-assemble the intake for cleaning or anything, just wiped out what build...- Jim B.

Hi Folks, Some time ago my SHO started using oil, and would hardly ever start. I chekced the spark plug wells and sure enough they were full of oil, figured the no-starts were due to the plugs shorting out. Finally got around to replacing the gaskets, put it all together, and car won't start...- Jim B.
