The hole appeared to be caused from exterior corrosion on a weld. After removing, the inside of the cats looked great! I probably could have just repaired the hole. Anyway, I installed PPE catted downpipes and replaced all sensors and hardware. Relatively easy replacement with no major issues...

its strange that the tire markings line up with the rim spokes. Is that brake fluid on the ground? Maybe the brake locked up, rim overheated and started to melt the coating on the rim?
There are two more on the passenger side, one right behind the glove box (easy to change) and another near the floor board that is a pain to change. I replaced both of those to fix my AC issue.
I had a similar issue and thought it was the wheel bearings, but it turned out the drivers side brake pads were just completely worn down. Not sure if its just me, but I only get about 15,000 miles out of brake pads.
