    Bad catalytic converter

The hole appeared to be caused from exterior corrosion on a weld. After removing, the inside of the cats looked great! I probably could have just repaired the hole. Anyway, I installed PPE catted downpipes and replaced all sensors and hardware. Relatively easy replacement with no major issues...

    Bad catalytic converter

My 2011 PP with 70,000 miles started getting a P0420 code after replacing my drive belt and tensioner ( I cant remember but maybe I accidentally hit the cat with a wrench??) . Ford service diagnosed a hole in the bank 1 catalytic converter ( I believe it’s the longer one). They quoted $2100...

    Inoperable Caliper

I use the Permatex ceramic extreme and it works great. They have a new silicone ceramic extreme but I have not tried that yet.

    Gen 4 Wheel Pitting

I used this technique in the past for some curb rash: https://www.autopia-carcare.com/realwhda.html and it worked well. Much better than the scuffed up rims I was fixing. The paint they use is close, but not an exact match for our rims. You can't see a difference from far away but you can...

    Alternator?

I've gone through two batteries where the voltage tests fine but the amps are very low. Had to bring it in to dealer to confirm bad battery.

    OEM Tires or else?

I use BF Goodrich G-force comp 2a/s and really like them. For some reason, I find the 255 width cheaper than 245. Discount Tire Direct has a black friday sale worth checking out.

Not a Taurus, just an interesting mystery

its strange that the tire markings line up with the rim spokes. Is that brake fluid on the ground? Maybe the brake locked up, rim overheated and started to melt the coating on the rim?

    A/C Blend door Actuator

There are two more on the passenger side, one right behind the glove box (easy to change) and another near the floor board that is a pain to change. I replaced both of those to fix my AC issue.

Rubbing noise in rear when turning sometimes

I had a similar issue and thought it was the wheel bearings, but it turned out the drivers side brake pads were just completely worn down. Not sure if its just me, but I only get about 15,000 miles out of brake pads.

    Motul ?

I used Castro edge titanium but then switched to Pennzoil ultra platinum because people here seemed to love it.

PTU Fluid - Where Is It Going?

to keep the vent clear, could you blow compressed air into the fill hole (after draining but before filling)? or would that make a huge mess?

    Front strut mount

Have you looked on RockAuto? I checked for my 2011 and they have 6 different brands of front strut mounts and two options from Monroe.

    Strut / Shock Suspension Codes

I have to do the same with my 2011 - the rear shock absorber seem to be worn out. I want to replace most of the suspension components in the rear (stabilizer bar, trailing arm, etc.) hopefully this winter. I honestly cannot tell what suspension code I have with a PP, but it seems to me the...

    H&R Springs Installed

Same here, I really want the H&R springs, but my wife says the PP suspension is already too stiff and makes her stomach upset.

    Blend door actuator

All three of the actuators are the same part number - AA5Z-19E616-C or YH 1779. I didn't take the cover off so I can't offer any advice on that. Its not impossible to work around.

    Blend door actuator

I just finished the passenger side. What a pain! And it butchered my hand. I was able to keep the black plastic cover, but you are correct in that it is worth doing yourself. Not sure which was tougher, unscrewing the back screw or disconnecting the jumper harness.

    2013 PP brakes

The black coating on the rotors comes off during break in where the pad contacts the rotors.
