Same problem My 94 auto has the same symptoms you describe, Local Ford dealer was zero help, my problem was/still is a lack of codes. My solution... I'm selling mine.- hammer5312

No, there is not any oil in the wells. when I changed out the valve cover gaskets/seal I cleaned out the wella with paper shop towels. While I had the intake off I cleaned it and decoked it as well. Like I said I have tried just about everything.- hammer5312

I forgot to mention that I do have new plugs and wires they were changed about 3 mos ago. As for the coil pack I know where I can get a salvage unit from a 5spd but the dilemma is how do I check mine and how do I check to salvage unit to see if they are good?- hammer5312
