They are and they ride very nice as well. Need to get acclimated to all of the lane departure assist and extra safety features they have on them. I do miss my SHO occasionally but I am also relieved when it only takes me around $40 to fill up the Camry versus the almost $70 to fill up the SHO.
Traded in my SHO for a 2020 Camry SE.
The nearly 100 miles/day commute and not so great gas mileage has been not very cool.
180k miles in total, stock ptu, stock turbos, stock everything. Only major repair done was on the timing chain + water pump deal.
It was fun while it lasted and I'm...
I know it's an F150 video but I would assume it would be relatively the same process since we have the same Engine.
If you're doing the timing chain, do the water pump, phasers, tensioners, the whole 9. The last thing you'd want is to do the timing chain and then have the water pump shit out...
$2100 for replacing a single cat is absurd. My shop quoted me $800 parts + labor. If your area doesn't do emissions testing, then I wouldn't even bother with replacing the catalytic converter. My cat has been out since 89k miles and I'm now at 155k with 0 issues.
Depends. The older SHO's don't have a drain plug on the transfer case, so you'll have to drill and tap one. The newer SHO's (2013 and up) have a drain plug. Harder than it needs to be, but it's definitely doable, just takes a little bit of maneuvering.
Haven't had any issues with RockAuto, although I've only ordered 1 wheel bearing from them.
With something as heavy as a battery, I'd feel more comfortable just going to your local auto parts store.
Yeah, the wheel bearings are a pain in the ***, especially if you live in one of the northern states that uses salt on their roads. I ended up taking my car to my mechanic and they had to use a hub buster and 30 minutes of heat using an Oxy torch.
Could be a lot of things.
I had a popping/creaking noise coming from the front and it ended up being my struts.
My car does make some very strange noises when it gets really cold out but it goes away once its warmed up.
