Symptoms of steering related
is this noise a popping noise that you can kinda feel? I had the same thing and it was actually the upper strut mounts. and as for the hissing thing.....mine does it too and I have a new RMP rack and pinion. How can I fix an H-brace?
I am not sure on the exact wordage (everyone calls it something different) but I am talking about the brace that the control arms connect to. Supposedly they become worn and cause a clunking noise. I thought that I had a bad strut, but after replacing them twice along with the strut mounts, sway...- greySHO

How can I fix an H-brace?
I have replaced everything so far with one exception.....the H - brace. From what I am hearing its no too uncommon of a thing to have go bad. Maybe thats a good thing, but how can I fix it? The brace only comes from ford with a whole floor pan, and that is discontinued. If anyone knows how to...- greySHO

Huge Bang in the back
I have the same problem with my 92 and a bunch of people have leaned me towards thinking that the H-brace is bad (where the control arms connect to the frame) I would love to tell you what can be done to fix it, but still have no idea.- greySHO

yet another clunk
You may want to check with Ford on that one, There is a TSB on the right front control arm breaking a weld and causing a clunking noise. If you have no luck let me know I will get the numbers for you- greySHO
