Thanks guys. I'll look print off the templates when I get the rims. I was wanting Baer 13" rotors but didn't know if they would fit. I toured Baer's mfr. plant when I lived in Phoenix and I must say I was impressed!
Here's the rims I've *decided* to go with. http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp?target=wheelSearchCloseUp&wheelIndex=5&sizeIndex=0&showRear=no&setIndex=1&filterSize=17&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=Pricing Don't know why the first link didn't work. I went out and bought some PBR calipers...
I second the high mileage theory. My 95 with 244K sits app 2in lower that in's suposed to be. Then again I have not one but THREE broken springs! Maybe that has something to do with it :D .
For the reducing sleeves I only need one set from shonut right? I want to make sure because that is the only part I'm waiting on to do my suspension upgrade and am on a tight schedule.
Thanks
Mike
From tirerack.com I couldn't find 18's. So I hope I can get 13" rotors under these rims (see above post).
THe 3.6 is slow going being that it is hard to find parts. Also my machinest is having problems with venders. He had to send back a bunch of stuff because he was told over the phone...
The sleeper look is exactly what I want. Here's the rims I would get if I went aftermarket. http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/WheelSearch.jsp?changeColor=Red&filterSize=17&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=Pricing&autoMake=Ford&autoModel=Taurus+SHO&autoModClar=&autoYear=1995
Do you know...
What did you all have to do to modify the brackets? I've decided to go with the PBR/Cobra calipers after all. Also if you could post some pics I'd appreciate it.
Also thanks everyone for the input.
Hey all,
Let me start off by saying that I have a 95. I'm working on a 3.6L srtoker and want to make sure my SHO can stop before I install it. From what I understand, if you go with certian rotors/calipers you will need 17" rims to clear them. I would like to keep the stock SHO rims if at...
Yes because a SC has much more low end than a turbo. I'm worried about the launch. No I've never heard "I can turbo my SHO for under a grand". But for $5000 I definately can.
In about another 50K or so I will most likely need a rebuild on the motor. If I do that I would definately go turbo. What I would like to know the most is if there is someone that has already done to work and configured the headers for the turbo. Suggestions are welcome. I have an abundant...
Exactlly. Look up OEM specs for the actuator and get out a DVOM and compare. Could be high resistance in the wire as well. Your actuator could be fine.
