Fuel Pressure ?

According to manual: 3.0L engine running 28-33 PSI 3.2L engine running 35-45 PSI 3.0L key on engine off 30-45 PSI 3.2L key on engine off 35-45 PSI

injector o-rings

Mike, I'm not sure what you're saying. The other 5 plugs looked great, while the failing cylinder #2 looked funny. Like it was arcing but not burning fuel. No real carbon coating just a very very slight bit at the insulator.Very hard to describe. Thanks, Fred

I removed the intake manifold and fired the injectors on cylinders #4,2,5 by jumpering the hot lead of the connector to the injector and grounding the other lead from the injector and having my daughter switch on the key. They all squirted a stream at each intake valve.I installed new plug wires...

Ignition Coil 1995 SHO

Does anyone have the 1995 Taurus manual listing the ohmic values of the 3 primary coils and the 3 secondary coils? The manual I have does not list it or else I cannot find it. I believe it is in the Power Train Control/Emissions Diagnosis Manual. Thanks in advance for any help Fred

Reconditioned injectors

Somewhere either here or on another site I saw a place where you could purchase reconditioned injectors at a very reasonable price? Could anyone tell where that was as I can't seem to find it again. Thank You, Fred

Can anyone tell me the best way to check to see if I have a bad valve in cylinder #5 as the mechanic I brought it to, at first thought wires but now thinks exhaust valve. He did a compression check on #5 and read 120 than it went down to 75 according to him. This car is really getting to be a...

I'm confused, with my extrememly rough idle wouldn't I see fuel psi flicker or something? Or a drop if I rev to 3K and held it? My pressure says steady under these conitions, BUT I still have the rough idle? Thanks for the help, Fred

I have 35 psi while idling(range 30-45 correct??), would I still have a fuel pump/regulator problem? As it is extremely rough at idle wouldn't I see a change in the pressure and/or drop??? Thank You, Fred

The information I have says coil 1 is #1&5, coil 2 is #3&4, coil 3 is #2&6. Can we verify which information is correct? I have cleaned and dried the wells and wires and as I said the wires do not leak to ground when I lay the wire and plug on the engine with the 3 front cylinders.

1995 Taurus SHO Automatic 3.2L Car started with a rough idle, sent daughter to store to get injector cleaner and before she got there it was very rough. She put 1 can of injector cleaner in and filled the tank. SHO is very rough at idle and has no power when accelerating. IT IS NOT like plugs...

A theory. If injectors #2 & #5 were "partially" plugged would they spray just enough fuel so the plugs looked like they were burning properly. Although not giving enough power under acceleration. It feels like it is banging on only 4 to 5 cylinders. Would the "balance test" pick them out as...
