So after complete assembly had a few issues.
Issues that I came across,
First the reactor concepts flex plate didn’t fit and has to be shipped back to be machined down. That’s a PITA due to the fact that everything has to be taken apart to put it in once it’s done.
Second part I had to deal...
Yeah I couldn’t justify the cost for them either. I’m sure they are great but for 5k my wife ain’t hearing it. I found some through wit trans. They were out but sent me to a different vendor who had clutches. Steels I got from wit themselves.
I will add Matt at Gearhead mentioned to me he had...
I gotcha brother,
So nothing to major just added in the following
Gearhead turbos and medium torque converter
Reactor concepts billet flex plate (although it came wrong size and has to be corrected)
Rebuilt trans with ray bestos clutches and steels
Traction concepts LSD’s with new WPC...
Guys I am re installing everything back in car and have a speed bump in the road per usual. I have this eyelet that comes out the harness with the two connectors that go to the steering column motor. Can anyone please tell me where this eyelet goes and I can’t seem to locate its home.
Mine has just enough to get it to all bolt up but once all buttoned up it won’t move it’s pressed against those flex plate bolts too much. Loosen all housing bolts a quarter turn and works perfect. I used some white out to confirm it on the Tc and where it touched. I think it’s just a hair to...
Mine bolts up and everything but from what I can tell once buttoned all up the TC rubs the flex plate bolts just enough to bind it up. Loosen all housing bolts and works perfectly. Swapped to old TC and same problem, swapped to OEM flex plate and both aftermarket and OEM TC fit. Below is pics...
I have learned quite a bit during this process. I also did a lot of while I’m in there’s too. But I had a few problems I think all contributed to this, of course this is all speculation as it’s real hard to pinpoint an exact thing but I think it all contributed to make one big problem. I will...
I am tending to lean towards a faulty pick up tube either clogged or oil pump it’s self is starting to fail. It works enough to keep low oil pressure but can’t build up enough to flip over to high oil pressure which I have not done much research into this on the SHO but I just had this problem...
