I turned the boost down to 8lbs..you should be just fine until you come back with the other injectors.... I also richened the tune, I would rather you foul out the plugs then run lean with the wrong kind of injectors in there. BTW, paul found a really good article about the pintle caps for the injectors and what they are used for and it shows you why they spray them right at the valves... so you can take a look at that when i put it up, I gotta scan it first though.

yah it is, I just lost a little bit of pride not being able to drive mine to the picnic:laugh_ti:. No but seriously Paul fixed it for me in record time. I was back on my way home at 7 on Sunday.

Glad you got home OK john and also glad to hear you SHO is back up and running.

Yah, I'm still down about it though. 8 psi is boring now and I'm afraid to boost it up on the stock pistons. It shouldn't have gone on 12 psi. Thats mainly what ****** me off. Ashley and Paul beat theres and its lasted 3 years on the same pistons. I drove mine 20 times and it blew up. I guess its time to drop some forged pistons and up the boost and though down some huge numbers now. It'll take me a couple months to get the money together, but I'll let you all know when I get the forged in. I'm keeping my new numbers a secret though. Have to keep you guys on your toes lol.

you should think about completely building a 3.2 for it. theres plenty of guys that live near you with 3.2s for cheap. trust me ive been searchin for them.

the reason it went wasn't because of the tune or because "it leaned out" all stock shos that are that old are capable of having cracks along the piston or stuck oil rings... when we first put your car together it had a bit of smoke out of the crankcase signifying that. On sunday when we had your whole engine apart you saw that the rings were all gunked up and stuck...now add boost to that...of course it could break. we replaced all cracked or low compression (even a tiny bit low) for you and i don't expect anymore problems. now, you just need to get a good set of injectors that we can use in your car, that is all.

When money permits, I'll bore it out and make it a nasty, fully built turbo engine. I bet I can get it up to around 430whp ha ha. :rofl: For now I'm getting forged pistons and going to just drop those in. It'll be making some nasty power with low compression forged pistons. I'm already making to much for the car to handle. I already decimated my subframe bushings. Its knocking badly after a month of around 12 psi.
