I appreciate the tip, I was already planning on replacing them while its apart, no use in removing them and chancing having to do double the labor with 140k on the engine. My wife just is glad that I'll do the labor instead of paying a shop. She says I'm cheaper to pay.

Mixed reviews on aftermarket chains and tensioners. I would go Ford components on that. DIY for the win..most of the time

I placed my order with apple ford out of white bear lake mn yesterday, total was about $1300 which wasn't much worse than the aftermarket options I had seen. Every time I've needed something they have had one of the better prices I've found.
