Depending on what you have in mind for modifications I would think about a Ford Ex warranty before the 100k roll over. There are several internet Ford esp sellers for cheaper than most local dealers.

Congrats on the purchase. I think I know the previous owner, what dealer did you get it from?

Welcome! Looks nice. I got my 2013 with 97k in March. Based on advice from here, changed all the fluids and shopped around for an ESP. Best deal on a Ford ESP was www.lombardfordwarrantys.com and it already paid for itself with a recent water pump replacement. Interesting change from a 300 with a hemi. I drove several R/T hemis courtesy of national every time I could snag one, during the 5 yrs that I lived in NYC: chargers, challengers, 300s and durangos. Love my sho but I do miss the sound of the hemi exhaust.

PTU is power transfer unit. Basically similar to 4x4 you have differentials and transfer of power from front wheel drive to all wheel drive in addition to a transmission. There are extra units to accomplish this. They all require good lubrication and the PTU and RDU should be serviced fairly regularly with fluid changes. Ford provided most PTU's without an easy drain and refill mechanism and deemed them 'lifetime' sealed units. Well, the PTU has a high failure rate and they have had to change this stance. The PTU fluid breaks down into a thick sludge that will cause the unit to eventually fail. This is due to internal heat/friction and the proximity to heat from engine exhaust pipe and catalytic conv.
This is all over the internet and this forum so if you want to run a quick search anywhere you will get up to speed quickly.

where’s a good place to do all that. Preferably not a Ford dealer since they quoted me about 2100 for a PTU fluid replacement.

You could do all of the fluid changes yourself. Oil is the easiest one of course. When I'm short on time, I usually have a local shop do my PTU and RDU for around $300 in total.
