So late last year @aaron240 and I announced that we were working together to bring a set of 6 piston Wilwood calipers to the SHO market, and after some roadblocks and adjustments we finally have an installed and road worthy product!

Due to our Shelter in Place order in Oklahoma, I've only driven the car about 20 miles since the install, but plan to get some more miles on it today and get some testing.

After several Dragy attempts, my best 60-0 on stock 2013 PP brakes was 2.75 seconds. I wanted to get some numbers with the R1Concepts kit before installing the calipers, but it just didn't happen. Hopefully we'll see that from @Jordan_R soon since he just installed his a few weeks back as well.

We will be offering this in a few different options, but still working on final pricing:

Option 1 - Calipers, BP-20 front pads, Adapters, and SS Lines

Option 2 - Calipers, front and rear pads, adapters, and SS lines

Option 3 - Calipers, front and rear rotors, front and rear pads, adapters, and SS lines

This kit is setup to work with the factory 13.9" rotor dimensions, so any aftermarket rotors will be feasible. We're testing with R1Concepts slotted rotors with their Ceramic pads in the rear, but still working on defining a rear pad that is spec'd well with the friction coefficient of the front pads. While I would recommend Ceramics for track use, I am having no issues so far on the street.

Any questions, feel free to ask. We are working a on pricing discount to do a group buy for the first order, so stay tuned for final pricing!

Are there any 2-piece rotors out there for us? Those (because lighter) combined with this caliper upgrade would be nuts.

I was going to send you a PM yesterday to check the status of this brake kit but time slipped away from me. I love the blue! Could we get custom colors done? I would like to match the baby blue on my EPP hot pipes and intake. Any word on doing a rear setup?

I actually redid these myself with G2 And I'm not that satisfied with them. I inquired to Wilwood about doing custom colors thinking it would be done during manufacturing and they are quoting an additional $730 to repowdercoat, so either they have a ton of these on the shelf or they want me to think they do. They offer a ton of colors on the site but dang that's steep imo, but the option is there if desired.

As for the rears, we are really wanting to retain the use of the parking brake. TCE offers a 2 piston rear setup but you lose the parking break, and for a 2 ton yacht I feel you really need the anchor when you're on a hill.

$730 to powder coat 2 calipers???? That's like livernever pricing! I guess I can find a local place to powder coat them. I totally agree with you about retaining the rear parking brake, if y'all can figure out someway to get it done that I'm definitely in for a whole set!!

The way they explained it, they pull them off the shelf, gut them, blast and coat, then rebuild them with all new components.

A local shop quoted me $75 each to blast and coat if I tore them down and brought him just the housings.

I also took it as a no quote, that they really didn't want to do it and were hoping I'd say nevermind, which I did.

Core colors for the kit are black, red, and gray.

Maybe you can tear mine down and take them to the shop with yours to get powdered coated too for a way less than $700??

Lee this is looking great! Appreciate all the time you spent installing and testing. Everyone, we are excited to bring this to market for the SHO community to enjoy. Stay "tooned" for the first group buy/batch of kits.

I am in no way discrediting this kit though. Its certainly a worthy upgrade for the fronts.
100% percent agree. Looks awesome.

About the parking brake. Honestly since it isn't pull handle in the console and the SHO is an auto I never think about it. I use my parking brake all the time in my ST however, but it is a manual.

I use it all the time and tought my kids to do the same before shifting into park, that way the vehicle doesn't rest on any drive train components. It also prevents AWD vehicles from being towed with the rear wheels on the ground... without someone noticing.

With the roll back after putting it in park I use my parking brake everyday in the garage. It’s tight from tip to tail so I want to know it’s planted before I let off the brake.
