In recent years that is easily one of the highest numbers I've seen for a G1 SHO. Apparently the transaction went through, the buyer already posted feedback.

The eBay auction is proof enough for me. I highly doubt two people would go through all the neccesary work to 'stage' an eBay auction for an old Taurus. However, I was a little surprised to see feedback that quick.

I don't see any evidence that Elvis owned this car.

If you look at the sellers feedback reviews, he has sold some pretty expensive cars. If you look at the Shelby GT 350 sale, the buyer may be the same one that purchased the SHO. The number of feedbacks and the hidden name look alike. If the buyer had that kind of cash to buy the Shelby, the price of the SHO may not have been that big a deal.

A few years back, there were two really nice low mile Gen 1's that went for 10K or 11K.

All depends on what you want. For a Sunday or Cruise Night cruiser, the GP is fine. But lousy for anything else like a drive longer than 25 miles or so. We have been spoiled by decent handling and performing cars with decent seating. Driving about any 50s to mid 70s car reminds you of just how wretched they were!

Oh for sure. the handling was terrible but that's not what it's for now. I would only put so many miles per year on it anyway. Hence my reluctance to get a toy to collect dust
