1989 Ford Taurus SHO
- 29,500km – 18,300 miles
- 2nd owner
- amazing condition, looks like new inside and out, even smells new
- zero repair history, other than tires and battery it is factory spec

I'm helping my father in law sell his 89 SHO. He's the second owner, had it for 10 years since trading an old T-Bird for it. I doubt a better 1st generation SHO can be found, this one belongs in a museum. Car is located in Regina Saskatchewan Canada.

$12,900 Canadian Dollars

Very nice. Looks like all options except full leather, sunroof and power passenger seat? Might want to include some under body pictures if possible!

PS: Two different locking lugnuts on each wheel? That's secure!

The way people talk about the baskets without the center caps, looks like he's protecting his assets. Beautiful car.

Beautiful car! I cant believe its spent its entire life in Canada. Does it have the 6 digit odometer?

Good luck with the sale! Put this baby on ebay, and it will be gone quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Holy crap, those basketweaves are mint.

Chad is right, put this on eBay and it'll sell quick.

If you do post it up, you should include A LOT more photos, especially of the undercarriage.

Good luck with the sale!

First I noticed the headlight appears to be a little out of alignment, then I noticed the fishing line tied to the header panel. Probably no big deal, but it's something that should be corrected on a car like this.

BTW, beautiful car. Wish I could get my grubby little hands on it.

Just a note, did anyone notice that the Emission panel has Ford stamped into it? Never had this on any of the US SHO's that I've owned or seen. Another thing to note is that the clips and bolts that hold the header panel on have been painted as have the hood bump stops. These don't come painted from the factory and are usually only painted when body work has been done also the passenger headlight appears new compared to drivers. Mods I'm not saying anything negative here just making a note.

Some of the SHOs had the Ford emblem embossed into the emission panel. Had to be early 89's only. This is one of those because it has the chrome strips on the door panels which were later phased out. Most SHOs, including all of mine, even my 89, do NOT have the Ford emblem embossed into the panel---that's not a big issue. Maybe some had them, some didn't.

Also, you're correct in that the hood stops should not be painted; they come in black (just plain rubber). The core support looks like there were some screws previously in some of those holes; not sure. I'm curious as to what the fishing wire is for on the headlight as well. Either way, this is a really really nice car.

Good eye on those chrome strips, never noticed it. This is the first time I'm seeing the Ford logo on that plastic panel, pretty cool. Upon closer inspection I see the marks where that panel was moved and the old bolt hole indentation shows thru on the alignment. I do agree that this thing is indeed in amazing shape regardless, wish I had the dough.

Both of my shos have the hood stops painted and no body work has ever been done.

Thanks for the comments. I can assure that no body work has been done to this car. Regarding the headlight alignment, I'm guessing that's just how things were built, 80's Fords were not exactly built to today's quality. :) The fishing line, I have no idea, I'll check it out next time I'm over there.

Exactly the same as mine looked in 1990 when I bought it used with similar mileage on the OD....Hope it sells for close to what you are asking. Mine also has the hood grommets painted from the factory.

I thought my 89's hood grommets weren't painted but, in fact, they are. Guess they all were. Maybe someone used the fishing line to hold the headlight in place if it got knocked out of alignment somehow.
