Ahh.. boo... well guys this idea is out of the bag.

I might find a loophole though :D (Although.. what legal concerns are there...? Shoforum.com isn't a business is it? Is it registered in ANY form?.. I don't believe so.. .. so there would probably not be any legal concerns to deal with are there?)

There are legal concerns. I'm guessing you can probably make all the decals you want by yourself for personal use, but you cannot sell them by any means.

from Wikipedia.

Domain names are also used as simple identification labels to indicate ownership or control of a resource.

By my reasoning, it appears that with a decal your car would belong to Bizzy. :munch:

So.... if you have a K&N decal on your car, does that mean that K&N owns your car and can take it from you? I don't think so.

Make a donation, ask for permission to make yourself a decal and go from there, all anyone can do is tell you no.
If there is someone already making decals and selling them to members on here to support the site, then I encourage you to go that route. I don't think I have seen a decal, anyone got a pic?

Its just like the whole ford ordeal, wanting all of the property that was made saying mustang, or ford, or whatever else. Also a cut of the profits, because they own the trademark, or names of these vehicles.

Well regardless.. I'm not making a profit.. I'm either giving them away for the price of the postage stamp and/or the material cost.

I will just have to contact Bizzy and see what she says in the matter. I will let you all know.

Guy's, last time I talked to beth about this, she said no prob with a donation, AS LONG as it was just for me. But I'd still talk to her first. I asked because I'm much removed from her Geographically, and had a guy local who does decals on the cheap.

So yeah, X2 for asking Beth.
