Wtb: Gel inserts and plastic pieces for lower shifter bracket

I'm need of these gel things. I took my shifter apart and the gel basically disintegrated.

Did you look into doing something like this, FastCAD made his own part

I did see that. I am going to consider that. Just wanting to see if something is for sale first, which would be easier.

You might have to get creative. I'm sure most if not all of them are getting as bad as yours is right now. I found this one on ebay earlier this year. It came as part of a rod shifter assembly that the seller said had never been used and it looked it too. Unfortunately it's going on my 91+ when I put it back together. The one on my blue 95 is one that Mike with SHOSource made for me a few years back. It looks like he took solid blocks of nylon and just cut them to shape. Does the job pretty good too. It doesn't have to be fancy. You could probably get away with using wood. It just needs to be something solid that will press between the shifter and the chassis of the car.
