Ok thank you very much. I'll gladly send you the $50. Problem is I don't know how to arrange pickup and shipping I am in Southern Calif. I can pay for shipping but you or someone would need to package it, weigh it and give me the box size.

No big hurry I keep getting scammed on this part. Three new guys just joining Shoforum and one other place online. Yes if you could help me out that is fine and great, my car is in the shop now waiting on the fender. I will be in and out and kind of busy for the next few days my sister just passed 2am Saturday in Oklahoma. But I will not be leaving town and I'll have computer access. zip code 92886 Thanks Larry

Took the fender to a "we-pack-n-ship" store. The guy tried his best to find two boxes he could merge to ship it in but came up empty. Then I asked for an estimate if I had the ideal, most efficient box (53X33X10) and I almost fell over when he said $495 to get it to San Pedro zip (my daughter lives there and I didnt have your exact zip). I know you're in a hurry otherwise I'm shipping Bridget's VW Karmann Ghia out to her in the next month or so and could probably tuck the fender in and still leave room for the truck driver to sit in it and manuever. At any rate, this fender is not "mint, mint, mint" Its been in the rust belt all its life and theres some surface rust around the holes for the pins that hold the cladding on. No dings that I can see. Fairly decent black paint. I'm open to suggestion but I fear you're going to have to find some thing local and I'll
have to find a local buyer or sell at Carlisle Ford meet.

I figured shipping cost wouldn't be that high, but it is what it is. My zip is 92886 Yorba Linda, Ca. Maybe you could try Fedex or UPS store and see what they say. I'll make it worth your time. If not thanks much. Larry

You may want to avoid UPS for a few days and see how the impending strike plays out. I think 8/1 is the deadline. Hate to see your fender stuck in a pile in a warehouse for a month or two getting stuff piled on it.

I will try fedex.
Ya know I appreciate the time and effort to help me out. I checked with major carriers and was a real surprise on the cost. I am in no hurry but need the part so if you want to send it with your daughters car that would be Ok. I live in Yorba Linda Ca 92886 and I could pick it up from your daughter in San Pedro, Ca. about 20 miles from me. But don't know if that San Pedro is the one in Ca that zip is like 90731. Thanks for your time and effort either way it works out.

I know some salvage yards that stopped shipping body panels. I remember them posting 50% damage rate for their stuff.

I also remember buying a used replacement GenI door. I forget if I got it from Dan or shipped from Adam Varney in Iowa a long time ago. Also a set of 4 wheels with tires from across the country. If I had it shipped it sure wasn't priced like that. Kurt delivered a SHO for me from Indiana for waaayyy less than Dan's quote for a fender. Things have surely changed.
