I have a 3.2 engine that has been rebuilt for MTX use. Would you guys replace all the accessories, rack and pinion, etc. when doing this engine swap or would you guys just swap in the engine? All my accessories work and have no leaks at the moment. Would this be wasted money replacing everything? If I do replace anything what would you replace?

Thanks David

I would replace water pump, crank sensor and possibly power steering pump, depending on what I knew about its history.

I would use the alternator, since that is no big deal to change later if you have to. With the current state of rebuilt alternator quality, your current one may last longer than a 'new' one will.

I would not replace the rack unless I had reason to suspect it had issues.

The above is exactly what I did when I put the 3.2 into my 92.

The front and top 60ks are done. I changed my power steering fluid about a 8 months ago and it is already turning dark. The system makes no noises and turns just fine. Could it mean some part of the system is starting to fail or are my hoses deteriorating or it was just cleaning out some of the crap that was in the system? Also I wanted to replace all my coolant hoses. Do I need a MTX coolant hose set or an ATX coolant hose set?

Thanks

that the oil is turning dark is not particularly important. as long as all works well, I'd leave it well enough alone.

you need mtx radiator hoses for a mtx car, whether 3.0 or 3.2 is in it.

I would replace the front sway bar bushings. Very easy with the engine out of the way. The Energy Suspension kit is the way to go -- replace the straight zerk fittings that come on them with 90 degree zerks.

Do I need to evacuate the A/C system to full the motor? In the car currently I have a SHO Nut ceramic TOB with 5,000 mi. Is it OK to reuse that?

Those bushings were swapped out about a year and a half ago by the previous owner when he replaced the clutch. They are blue.
