My air bag light (3 blinks then 2 blinks) came on about 2 weeks before my cruise went out, Although my horn still works. Right now i have the steering wheel off and I tried to open that black coil. I could see inside a little. Enough to tell that there is no way i can splice the wires inside. I think i might have to find another coil. Do you know if the wire that goes into the ignition switch has anything to do with the cruise power. It is the sensor that makes the beep beep beep noise when the key is in the ignition and the door is open.

The item you are referring to is called a clockspring, and is not serviceable, you'll have to buy a new one.
