Got these done today. While I know I am not the first one do this, maybe the first in Bronze Fire?...I like it. The SHO badge from the side is really the only dead give away for the startle factor.

I did notice a couple people give me a double take on the way home from the tire shop. The ride is much softer now than the F1 Supercars, but it doesnt feel near as crisp in the curves and corners <duh>.

235/55R18...same as the Taurus SEL
The PI uses a 245/55R18 which is almost exact size to the stock 20s that come from the factory, but very few choices in that size and most are considered Police duty at $300+ with no warranty. The 235s are a 1/4" shorter than stock.

I got the wheels, lugs ( special lug nuts needed for centers) and TPMS for $125 each from local salvage. I spent about $50 total for centers on ebay...tip: search Ranger center caps instead of police, you will find more available and less $. Special lugs are available on rock auto under late 90s Ranger much cheaper than dealer if you have to get some.

So those are just skinnier than your original tires? The height isn't different?

Mine is a 15 PP and those are 18s directly from a 14 PI Sedan so yes it fits PP...PP 13+ brakes from what I can tell are the same size as non PP. The pad forulation for PP is the difference.

Nice work, Mike!
Dude, that Bronze Fire paint is a ******* color!
Reminds me of a '94 Eddie Bauer Bronco that I bought new, loved (and wish I had back).
The wheels alone might actually fool motorists into think you're THE MAN.
Ever considered a couple dummy spotlights? LOL! :)
Being unique is what it's all about, man.

I love that look and want to do it myself for winter, but I guess getting bigger brakes is something to think about it I do it.
