Scenario:
Well, I previously posted that my window would periodically not work (both rears) So last thursday I am out and I get home and try to roll up the driverside window, and nothing. It is down all the way. I take off the door panel, pull the switch panel off and pull the switches apart. Seems to be clean in there.
Diagnosis:
I proceed to test the conections with a voltage reader and It says I am getting voltage from tbe switch and nothing is engaging at the motor. I can even hear what sounds to be a relay at the motor and at the fuse box, but again not motor. I try to push the window up while engaging the button, nothing.
I figured it was the motor and would need to be replaced, warranty work!!
It rained the sat. night, sun, mon so I wasn't able to get it in to the shop. I tried today and...
WTF:
So I get in my car this morning to bring it to the shop in-between the rain and I thought I'd give it one more try (I had a preminition) I try it once down/up and sure enough, it worked
Now it goes up and down, didn't take it in, but I dont want to roll the window down all the way in fear it wont come up again.
Any suggestions??? could it just have been jammed, seems fine now, anyone had this before??
BTW, while taking my door panels off (both front) I managed to break some of the damn hooks that hold those crappy blue plastic screws to the door. Guess that means more door rattle,
Mike
