I am going to be installing at least two new 2 1/16th gauges in my 93 ATX next week. However I don't know where to put them. I have several ideas but I want to know what you guys think. I am installing a tranny temp gauge and a volt meter for sure and maybe an oil temp/pressure gauge. They are the Auto Meter Phantom series gauges. I thought about the A pillar but don't know if I will like them there. Also I'v seen a couple pics with them in the cassette slot under the slave CD but they don't look very good there and the quality from cincy SHO is not great from other threads I've read. Any one have gauges mounted in a universal pod somewhere else? Also has anyone ever built a compleatly custom dash? I have also seen a pic of a digital windstar dash, looked great but do all the functions work? I know this was alot but I'm counting on you guys to help me out. Will post pics once it's finished.

Thanks all, Jason

I really like mine on the A-Pillar - Very easy to see & pay attention to while driving.

While I do like my gauges on my pillar, they do kind of create a blind spot. Its something you learn to drive with, but it was kind of annoying the first two hours I drove my car. I have also seen a few people that have relocated thier EATC to below thier head unit, and put gauges in that space.

While I only have one gauge, it's down under the coin tray, etc. Looks nice there...

thanks for the ideas guys, anyone have some more pics? I am thinking about using an universal 2 guage pod and placing it above the clock, maybe to the right a little. My other thought is to use the same pod and put it up on the left top of the dash. What do you all think??

Thanks all, Jason

I like the idea of moving the climate control and putting stuff there as well. My suggestion is to learn how to work with fiberglass (which isn't too hard to learn) and then the only limit will be your imagination.

Jeremy i do have a universal pod on my dash i bought it off of ebay. it holds 2, 2 1/16 guages. i just had to sand it down to get the curve of the dash. I don't have pics of it. Cause i was kind of waiting to show it off till the convention.. But.. the cat is out of the bag now. So i have the triple gauge pod on my a-pillar. a/f, volts, oil pressure, (painted ford blue) :D And then my universal pod has tranny temp, and water temp. And it is also painted ford blue.. Just need to find a place to stick a Nitrious gauge now.. :bonk:

O and if you want some pics i can take them but i don't have a dig camera.. so it maybe a while lol. O and i will e-mail them to you. The world isn't going to see my gauge set up yet.. ;)
