I saved the set from my 3.0L that I just dismantled. I havent' mic'd them, but my thrust bearings had pretty neglible wear. I don't really plan on doing anything with them in the forseeable future, so if you're interested in them, shoot me a PM.

You're not going to find any at this time, only if some company opens up their pallets and take inventory. After that, you better hurry before it all gets sold to an exporter company and is gone for good. I watched many new parts, including oil pumps, get sold off to an exporter. We will no longer see those SHO parts again...

Edit: And sad to say, those parts even included thrust bearings for the SHO, I think 34 of them. I had told the guy I wanted them and to pull them out, but they were mistaken and were another set of bearings. The other parts I requested, over 50 timing chains, 50+ timing belts, 30+ upper gasket kits, 3 oil pumps, 3 piston ring sets, and probably some other stuff I am missing, all got sold and not pulled out in time.

Sold to an exporter? Do you mean sold to someone outside this country. Who will then sell them back to us on ebay? Exporter to another country where they have lots of SHO's?

I doubt you will see them on eBay, they went to the middle east and you never see anything on eBay from there. And if that was the case, you would see lots of parts for sale on eBay from them and others, but you don't.

Why in the world would they be sold there!?

When I rebuilt my motor last year I bought my main bearings from Josh at SHOnut and they came with brand new thrust bearings from Clevite. I just searched his site and couldn't find them. I'd send him an email and see what he has to say.

Because they had enough money to buy many parts for a couple dollars each, yet paid thousands for it all.

They stopped making the thrust bearings, but someone else is trying to get in contact and have them made again.

Clevite never made thrust bearings for the SHO. They just bought OEM FORD bearings and sold them. Once Ford dried up, so did the people that bought them to resale them.

That's just sad. I'm glad I got mine when they were available.

Me too.

Are they really necessary to replace, it isn't like our motors eat through them like we do rod bearings?
