whats main difference in 3.2/3.0

im gonna rephrase this so i dont get a bunch of crap about it. whats the difference in the two engines they look damn near identical? why is the wiring so much different?

I researched the **** out of what would be needed to do a 3.2L swap before I even picked up the motor.

ive been reading up on both threads about the searches but im still in the dark of whats the big difference why cant i just take an mtx 94 and put a 93 3.2 in it? no one says what the difference in the harnesses are, what sensors on the engines are different, why the accessories are different, timing issues. little bit more detail into that fact would work nice.

seems like too much work to make a derby car out of a mtx. sry i am just getting into the sho scene.

did you see my atx im only using rotted out not safe for the road anymore shos. michigan takes its toll on cars, mine has 300k and had no brakes, crap tires, sitting in a field for 2 years. mtx im looking at has been sitting in a field for 7 years and has a bad motor. hence the questions.

shaking babies and abusing metally challanged people is less severe then ruining a good shape sho.

If you have both cars, just swap all the wiring to the 3.2 when you put it in the MTX. Nobody is going to tell you every single difference in the wiring, there's way too many.

The ATX has all the additional wiring for the EGR/Transmission attached to it, and some sensors/components are in different locations, which is why there are so many differences.

To swap a 3.2 is easy, just tedious:

Pull both engines out.

Strip both engines down to short blocks.

Rebuild the 3.2 engine with all the pieces from the 3.0, and reinstall.

Go racing.
