About four months ago, my torque converter was not locking in fourt gear. Eventually, the SES light came on and I took the '96 SHO to Autozone to have the code read. Sure enough, it showed torque converter problems. I then took the vehicle to All-Pro Transmission in Nashville TN.. They gave me an estimate to replace the converter and began work. A couple of days later they called and advised that the TC clutch had shed some debris into the trans and it needed a rebuild. Seeing as my car has 106,000 miles on it and the trans was already out of the car, I agreed and again, they went to work. Two weeks later, I was called and advised that the car was ready and picked it up, (total bill just over $2000.00). Well it ran fine for a day then wouldnt run at all in drive and I was able to limp it back to All-Pro in second gear. This time they kept the car several weeks and kept ordering parts in an attempt to diagnose the problem by replacing one part at a time. I finally got the vehicle back and again it ran for a couple of days and crapped out again. Again, I limped it out to All-Pro and this time they kept it for several weeks until they finally had to replace the trans. case. Total time without my SHO, over three months. Well, it has been doing fine for the last three weeks until today. Now the torque converter wont lock up and the SES light is back on. I hate to take it back to All-Amature, but I will have to pay anybody else to fix it and even if I could take them to court and sue to get my money back, it would take a while. Sorry for the long post but I need feedback on this. Any lawyers out there? HELP!
