If your car did not have keyless entry there would be a module plugged into that connector. Since it does have keyless there is nothing there.

I have keyless entry and I don't have that, or at least not that I remember. Maybe mine is tucked back behind or something.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! I had my amp plugged into that! That is the plug for the optional Subwoofer amplifier. My RCA inputs wer broken on my amp but I had speaker cable inputs and outputs. I plugged wires into that(I've got a picture of how I did it that I'll post in a minute), and ran them to the speaker wire inputs on my amp and it ran great!Hold on and I'll be back with that pic! Oh yea that is on my 91 too.

Edit: I seemed to have misplaced the picture on my comp(probably trashed it). I'm recharging the batteries in my camera and then I'll take it for you. Should be 20 minutes or so.

Edit edit:
Here is the pic. I plugged 2 speaker wires into it and ran them around the trunk to where my amp was. There is 4 wires going into it but there are only 2 connections inside of it. I used some of those flat slide together wiring clips and cut/folded them to fit in there snuggly. I then taped it all together just to be safe. I have since removed that and replaced it with a better amp.

Pin Out charts dont lie. the connectors resemble those of the sound system, but the pinouts dont match up. in your pic, whats that white connector on the far right ? looks like the one in question.

Ok I'm just going to retract my statement because when I opoened the pic I only saw the grey connector that I'm pointing to. That photo was bigger than I saw at first. The white on is what you already said. I just missed that the pic was that damn big... :squint:

I have no idea! I just plugged my aftermarket amp in there. I'm guessing you would need to install the amp and the cable that goes from amp to amp. then install the sub and attach it to the amp. I'm guessing that's all but there may be more or less.

It looks like the subs in the SHO are wired in series. There is no left/right, they're both connected to the same 2 wires. The harness goes from one over to the other one, and then the empty small grey plug.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

As far as the white plug that he asked about ("homosexual geocities"- heheheh) Mine did have the JBL w/ sub amps, keyless entry, etc...

It also had the empty plug you have. And there was nothing plugged into it.

Ford tends to put extra wires in "just in case". Maybe it would go to the keyless wireless remote (keyfob) entry on later models??
