I just got a 2014 SHO for a company car...yeh I'm pretty lucky. I get one every 4 years but put 35K+ miles on a year and love it when my boss says here's your budget go get a new car. I'm coming out of a 2010 EX35 Infiniti that was flawless and shopped for a number of SUV & Sedans and much I read on line from Edmunds and the like all say the SHO is priced high as a con vs. the pro's.

With a bunch of incentive money and the dealer discount I got a pretty loaded non-PP that listed at $47,287 for $40K OTD. Do you think FMC is missing out on more buyers because of the sticker they start with? So when they say it's to high priced but you get a $7K discount I thought it was pretty reasonable for what it has!

I've had it for 20 days and have 2000 miles on it and love the comfort and maybe I'm becoming the old "stay off my lawn" guy...but after my last three company car's being SUV types I got the SHO when I saw the TRUNK....:dork:

Congratulations and enjoy! Personally, I didn't pay much attention to the price. I had to have a SHO. But, mine was heavily discounted. Enough to get out of a three year lease at one year and still get a couple G's off the sticker.

But ... but ... but ... it's a FORD! How can you pay that much for a F-O-R-D??? I don't care if you can do 9's in the 1/4 with it ...

to the op, if you look around you will find that most vehicles are heavily discounted right now. I am of the opinion that the economy is not nearly as healthy as our fearless leader would have us believe, but in any case there are plenty of 4 door sedans that one can buy for $8-10k off sticker, at least in this part of the world.

I think Ford is doing pretty well, and once they actually ditch the Sync system so that Consumer Reports will have to find a real reason to ***** about Ford products, they will do even better, because there are a lot of people who drink the CR coolaid and just follow their ratings no matter how pointless. not to mention Ford is introducing a ton of new products over the next year+, which is always good for a boost in sales.

+1...agree.

I know the SYNC takes a beating in reports and it there is a lot to learn but I like it. I guess that's what the reports are like...you love it or hate it. I love the car so far and it is way comfortable. I have a C6 Vette with a SC and 600 HP that is a fun play car but I had a big grin on my face today when I step out to pass a car and went from 60-100 in a flash...so big and smooth it didn't feel like I was going that fast at all....:omgsho:

Oh yeh I almost forgot...I get the option to buy my car when we cycle it out and have done so with a few to pass along to my kids as the got out of college and needed their first car. But this one I am already thinking I might have to keep and add some mods like I did with the Vette. Sounds like it has all kinds of potential!!!!!

I think the car would sell a lot better if it topped out at $40K, like a loaded Charger R/T AWD Max. Then with incentives, it would sell for around $35K.

People see $45K and immediately say I can get an Acura TL SH-AWD, BMW 328xi (stripper), C 4Matic or a G37x Sport.

I love my SHO. Drives great and love all of the room. I also love the exclusivity. I see another SHO once or twice a month, if I'm lucky!
