Ok, I've been dealing with a weak battery in the 89 for so long that I finally installed a new one. It started and ran just fine before I loaded the Mark8Maf file when I installed the new maf a few weeks ago. The battery was on a charger, but still didn't have enough juice to start it.

Tonight I put a new battery it, but it would crank and not start. I looked at my tweecer program I had under scalers and everything looked right:
Mytune

But when I 'read EEC' I get this crazy setup:
Problem

No matter how many times I try to write to the tweecer, clear KAM, etc, it doesn't run, and that crazy program stays in the EEC. I can take the tweecer out and it starts right up.

So what did I do and how can I fix it? Thanks!

You might have a corrupted tune on the tweecer.
Get a fresh X2J.bin and load it into tweecer.
Do no modify it. It should still start with the 80mm MAF, just like your ECU without the tweecer does.
Then go from there.

Thanks for all of the help. No matter what I tried, it remained the same. Then I remembered I used my work computer (I no longer work there) to do all of the tuning last summer, and now I'm using my old laptop. Since the computer is severely underpowered, I thought this might have an effect on the tuning. So I borrowed my wife's new computer. Works like a charm. I guess that old computer is pretty much good for nothing at all now.

I was looking at your screen shot, and noticed you only had the data logging button checked.

I tried checking the 'update only' button as well as having both checked, but it didn't make any difference.....
