Hey, I was wondering...since we've got two cats on our system, and I didn't see any smog pump fittings on them...do we even HAVE a smog pump??

If so, which belt drives it, and how easy would it be to get a shorter belt and eliminate the smog pump out of the system or bypass it? What do you think the gains of it would be? Worth it? Maybe pick up a couple of ft-lbs of torque? Just curious.

The SHO engine runs clean enough that it does not require a smog pump. Modern engine control technology has reduced the need for this system on most auto engines.
