Ok, I did a search first on this topic but my problem seems to be a little different than what I saw other people asking about. Yesterday here in NJ, we had torrential rains causing flooding all over the place, including my 94 ATX. This morning I found the carpeting soaking wet in the driver's footwell as well as both rear footwells. The front passenger side was pretty much dry, though. Most of the posts in the past have recommended checking a drain plug on the passenger side, but like I said, my problem seems to be different. I don't think it's the sunroof, either, because my seats weren't wet at all, but 3 of the 4 footwells were absolutely soaked to the point that it was actually puddling on top of the carpeting (in the driver's footwell and the rear passenger footwell). Can someone please help me out and give me some suggestions on what to check/do??? I'd appreciate any tips/advice you could offer. Thanks.

If youve never had a problem before its kinda of hard to start tracing.

First I would open all the doors and clean the seals and door jams. dirt and dust can lift the seal causing some leakage. Second most likely are the front and rear windshield, but if youve never had a problem before this its hard to say.

I would check the moon roof anyways because it could run down the inside of the Bpillar.

Make sure the water is draining from the cowl to the outside. These drains often get plugged with leaves and crap from trees. Then check the bottom of your doors and make sure the drain holes are not plugged with undercoating or other crap, such as rust or dirt. If the bottom of the doors get plugged then they fill up a couple of inches and overflow into the car.

Just some thoughts. rangerj
