Joshua took a header off the Jungle Jim at the park. He climbed up a 6 foot ladder then went to step over onto the platform of the playset. Lost his foothold and came falling out like a bag of rocks....he busted his chin on the platform then fell the 6 feet to the ground, thumping ladder rungs all the way down.

Scared the **** stains out of me. Damage: A 1 inch long cut that was a quarter inch deep on the bottom of his chin....looked like he had a second mouth. 2 1/2 hours in the Emergency care clinic and 3 injections of novocaine to the chin, my brave guy came out with 6 stitches and will have one narly scar when he grows up.

Very blessed he didnt break his jaw, lose any teeth, or worse yet, break his neck.

Holy cow Mike, when did this happen? Before or after we talked? He was lucky he didn't do some real damage there. Anything I can do for the little guy?

Tom: I was surprized he didnt tell you about it when you called. He is pretty proud of it now. It happened monday night at 7:30. Looked like someone took a razor and cut his chin open to the bone. The kid bounced down that ladder like a pinball.

Its a rite of passage I guess as I have a scar on my chin too. Its a part of boys just growing up. He was very fortunate.

Glad to hear your kid is doing well Mike. A deep cut is nothing, and a scar is always cool. I hate to say this, but I have a feeling you will be traveling to the ER many more times in his life.

Hehe, I always scared the **** out of my parents. I have been to the ER about 6 times so far. Athsma attack, broken wrist, broken tailbone, broken hand, seizure, 6 inch "splinter" in my foot, probably more too. After a while you just know when you need to go to the ER. :snicker: Now, nevermind the fact I live across the county. :omg:
