I think its about time we are due for a huge turnout of SHO's at a meet. So get off your lazy boy and attend this one. Its 3 days after the convention so it shouldnt be much of a conflict. And it is one of the coolest car shows to go to. High horsepower cars, free drinks, and food. As to the usual tradition, an attempt is made to stop traffic on rt 12 so that everyone can do a burnout when they leave.

I am from SHOCAGO, Im trying to get all the close SHO clubs to join us. Its a fun event to go to. What beats showing off your car for free, checking out some really fast Fords, having free food, drinks, and entertainment.

yeah those gaskets are a wee on the pricey side, i'm guessing your picking them up from mikey at muidwest SHO. so how much money are you throwing at the 200k beast for the 60k and everything else.

Damage Report

ok.... here we go....

I bought a power steering pump about 5 months ago... ~$220
MotorCraft wires......... midwest sho ~$100
Iridium Plugs from advance auto... ~$35
MotorCraft Thermostat from ford w/gasket from advance auto ~$50
Countless Gaskets....... oyi... ~$180
Cruse control cable from a fellow forum member.... ~$10
"New" Intake manifold w/throttle body (ebay) being painted ~$50
"New" Valve covers fellow forum member aslo being painted ~$25
"New" Alternator Pully Fellow Forum member ~$25

Looking at about $695.... and if i get the silicone hoses and a new belt (freaking pully froze and the belt is just "burning out" on the tensionor... i'll post pics of the 6 month old belt...... It'll be just around $850..... oh god, I only paid 850 for the car!!!!!

Oh boy..... I don't remember what else... I'm wondering if I should take the time and learning effort for doing the whole valve adjustment thing... I'm not very knowledgable in that..... you rent this kit then what? do you have to buy the shims you don't use or what? I don't get that whole thing.... Help me here.....

Well good thing is.... I didn't buy all of this stuff at once... paycheck to paycheck, slowly building my "inventory" I think it'll be pretty nice to drive...... sad thing though, I looked under my car the other night, dropped something and I happened to look near the steering knuckle..... Passenger side Outter CV boot is ripped all the way around :bonk: Does the insanity ever sto... wait I own a SHO, no it won't stop :p
