So my girlfriend and I are taking vacation the week of the convention, but this year were not going to the convention as planned. We are going up to Wisconsin, camping, wis-dells, what is there in central wisconsin to do, attractions? fun things?
When we went to the dells last year i took her to Wollersheim Winery for a tour and wine tasting, the cave of the mounds, the house on the rock, a couple of boat tours in wis-dells, we walked around in the empty lake delton. camped at holiday shores campground right on the wis river in the dells. she enjoyed all that so any ideas for what to do this year.
were not going to the convention because of money. we are going to save and go next year where ever it is. we agreed on taking a simple vacation this year and next year the road trip in the SHO.

thanks
Mike

The Kalahari, I was just there last winter and it's the best waterpark hotel in the Dells hands down......:)

Depends on what you like to do. If you're big on waterparks, stay someplace with an indoor one or one of the many places that includes free Mt. Olympus tickets when you stay there and save some cash. You can't possibly get bored in the Dells, but if you're looking for something less crazy (depending on how far you're willing to drive) there's plenty else to do. I spent Memorial Day weekend in Door County last year, and it was busy but nowhere near as crazy as the Dells on a weekday in the summer, very relaxing there actually. Lots of state parks for hiking and what not.

I could tour the House on the Rock every year and not get sick of it :-D That reminds me, next summer is the 50th anniversary celebration...
