I'm beginning to get interest from some of the local SHO guys I know. I'll prolly get a decent enoungh group to go. GTP SHOdown is too far for me and The TCCA meet is too expensive for my poor *** . I also have a girl I know coming with her V6 stang.

man if my car was just a bit faster. I dunno if I could really compete. Do you guys think 14.8 is fast enough to do this?

SHODOG220,

There is heads up racing (and no, your car isn't fast enough to win that), and bracket racing.

I have won the bracket racing class the previous 2 years at this event, racing everything from low 14 second Mustangs to a 17 second Ford Ranger. Since it is bracket racing, it boils down to who has a better run, not who has the fastest car.

There would not be much point in going in the heads up class, as some of the supercharged Mustangs are just too fast.

It is a really good event put on by a bunch of good guys, and is a fun day at the track. Get as many people to go as you can!!

I'm planning on it Jamie!

I have a lot of work to do on my car before then (annoying maintenance stuff).

Here's the real question....
Will you actually be racing your car this year?

It sure would be interesting to see that thing.

Well it will be either me or my wife driving it, not sure how much time I will have to race with running the event and all.

The car runs right now, I pulled it into my garage this week to start workign on some more things. Just need to get a new tune for the eec, which I will have soon, then I will get dyno tuned the day before the event. Now I just gotta get the car there, only a 5 hour drive :)

I agree Marcel.

That way if (when??) one of our cars breaks down, we at least have a ride home!

Hopefully some more of these Ontario guys will be going too. Let's keep pestering them!

Or, perhaps all of these big tough SHO guys are scared of some V6 Mustangs? evil_gri

Well a whole lot of them are planning on going to our race on their way home fromt he road racing event, somewhere in the range of 50 cars, at least thats what the one guy said, so there will be a lot of other taurus' there, so hoipefully we can get a good SHO'ing as well. thumb
