Just a heads up that the V6 Ford Challenge is again coming up soon. This year we made a slight change, which will actually affect the name of the race as well eventually. Since we are having trouble getting decent car counts in the last few years we have decided to open the event to ALL V6 cars, no matter which make or model or manufacturer. So Ford, GM, Dodge, Toyota, Honda etc etc etc. I have not contacted all car groups yet, mainly the domestic car groups so far. We still need more FORD representation.

Race is again at Toronto Motorsports Park (Cayuga) and is being held on Aug 15th, 2009. The event is held along with the Canadian Street Car Nationals once again so the entire event is Aug 14th-16th, a weekend pass gets you in to watch great racing all weekend. For a little extra you can test and tune Friday, our class is Saturday, and there is more racing on Sunday. Camping is free with a weekend pass again.

Pass this info along to anyone you know, I don't know all the V6 sites out there, but post on as many as I can. If you know a site with V6 cars on it, let me know of maybe copy and paste this post for me, if your a member, but still send me the link so I can check out the site as well. Thanks guys.

Jamie you know I still haven't changed the clutch in my car from the last event we had there were I had all the traction and no grip on the clutch. Either I need to find time to swap that or have to try it with out the Drag tires..

Last year it was $60 for the weekend pass, and with that you got the V6 class like $10, so not a bad deal, camping is free with a weekend pass as well so I camped all weekend.

we have a set time to race, but in the morning there is like 2 hours or so of test and tune, where you can run to figure out your dial in times, then when it comes time to race, they start elims right away, so in those 2 hours you need to get as many runs as possible and its busy. There are a lot of classes at this race, so its not like you will get 10-15 runs in. Thats why I usually show up Friday and pay a bit extra to test and tune on Friday as well, I think its $30 for Friday night test and tune, but you get a lot more runs in Friday night. The weekend pass gets you into the track on Friday but you have to pay the extra if you want to test and tune, but you get the racing on Saturday with the weekend pass. Same goes for Sunday, its extra if you want to race again on Sunday, the pass only includes Saturday racing, but entire weekend of watching and camping.
