I was poking around under the hood last night, and found an unused connector with a cap on it. It's round, has one prong and one hole for the same type of prong, and has only one wire going to it (gray with yellow stripe). The cap's part number is E59B-14A666-AA. Anyone know what this is?

Where under the hood was the connector located? That might help identify it a little.

It's on the passenger side of the engine compartment, up by the firewall near the EEC test connector.

Oh...and I forgot about the other connection I was curious about. It's directly between the passenger-side strut tower and the firewall; there are about four or five wires on each plug. It has one squared-off corner, and several of the connectors inside each plug are not used. Is this the SPOUT connector I've been looking for?

There are three total test plugs and the SPOUT connector at that location. One multiwire plug is the EEC test plug, the second is the ABS test plug. There is also a single wire plug attached to the EEC test harness that is the signal test input connector. There is also the SPOUT connector (I believe) that is a two wire connector with a jumper plug in the end (no wires).
