I have a 2011 SHO. Windstorm CAI. Would it be wise to get the tune, with 3 bar map and 170 stat, before or after exhaust and down piping upgrades? Is this tune as good as it says? Reliable? Please help. Thanks.

You can buy the tuner/tune before any upgrades, just let Unleashed know what your current mods are, and keep them informed of mods you make so the tune(s) can be updated to accommodate. If your SHO goes in for service, and for some reason the strategy code is updated, you have to let them know as well, because you will need an updated tune to load to the PCM afterwards.

TStat can be done without tune, but a tune turns on the fans earlier so you can take full advantage of the TStat. 3bar NEEDS a tune to work correctly, as the mapping tables from the factory are for a 2 bar MAP.

Reliability has not been an issue with Unleashed.

Awesome. Thanks for the input. So I should install the 3 bar then install the tune so it tunes the map senor?

Don't install the 3bar before you have the tune updated for it. So, in the same session,

1) install the 3 bar sensor
2) upate the PCM with the tune that accounts for the 3 bar

Are you planning to get the parts all at the same time? Would advise new spark plugs as well to give you the maximum benefit.

Yes. I would install all the parts and tune the same day. I read somewhere that the stock fuel pump on the sho should be replaced with a bigger pump before any big mods. What do you think?

The low pressure pump or high pressure pump? I don't think, short of a faulty part, that the fuel pumps need to be touched for the power levels most people want from their SHOs (in the neighborhood of 400 AWHP = ~ 500 crank HP). Even at 500 AWHP, you would likely be fine with the stock system. More than that, you MAYBE MIGHT want to start looking.
