Sounds to me like your alternator took a crap or you battery is no good. A bad alternator usually makes the EATC do wacky things. For your second problem, sounds to me like your blower control module has crapped out as well. When they do, the blower fan will go to full blast. Of course, I could be wrong, in that the case, I'm sure someone will chime in to correct me :thumb:

If you set the climate control to off, and it blows on high out of the defrost, the BCM (blower control module) needs replaced. You can get one pretty much out of any ford vehicle (within the same years as your car) with a climate control. I replaced mine with one from a lincoln...been 3+ years with no problems.

Only high speed means the blower speed control is bad. Shorting out now it seems.

A vaccum leak to the climate unit will also make the air blow just out of the defroster. I found this out when I accidentally cut the small line leading into the firewall.

Put them back in the car and see if they work. The fuse was probably just blowing because it couldn't physically move the blower motor because it was caked in ice. I say defrost and put it all back together.
